This hotel is in a great location right next to the night bazaar, and some great little restaurants (be sure to check out Lemongrass round the corner!). The staff were extremely helpful and happy they are a great asset to the hotel. The breakfast has a good choice and the coffee is great. The rooms are a good size however, the beds are so hard (literally like sleeping on the floor). There is no soundproofing in the rooms as the corridors and the rooms are completely made of wood so sound echos everywhere, it's only a problem late at night or in the morning, each morning we were woken by the cleaners getting the stuff ready to clean the rooms at 6/7am. Unfortunately we had picked the few days when the owners were staying, they were very loud in the mornings in the corridors, they took over the bar area downstairs daily and they had a private party up at the skybar one evening. I understand that different cultures have different habits however in most countries, spitting in the dining room, shouting at staff and being very loud is considered rude, especially when it makes guests feel uncomfortable, guests that are paying money. Would we stay here again? Yes, but first I would check the owners aren't staying and I would also bring earplugs.
