I stayed here after walking past the owners and talking to them. Funny and sweet guys. Basic rooms but its cheap, its clean and functional. The owners will look after you, make sure you have a drink with them in the bar downstairs. Live music most nights. Id definitely stay again.

If you have even the slightest bit of self-respect, don't stay here. The hotel stinks of dampness and humidity. the walls are in ruins. places are filthy. Not even a bed. There is no bedding set. Don't be fooled by the photos. I had the hardest nights of my life. We had to pay the money in advance through booking.

A great stay with welcoming staff and a buzzing social aspect with the bar being below. If you are stopping for a night or a few and prefer private rooms, this is the place to be

Positive: An enormous comfy bed! They were kind enough to let us check in early and to leave the key in an accessible place which meant getting off the sleeper train from Bangkok was a lot more bearable! Location was super convenient - lots of great restaurants nearby Clean and spacious. Negative: Unfortunately the property was under renovation so there was a lot of people working in the downstairs area..

Interesting place (imagine this said by a fellow from the UK).

Our first impression when arriving at the hotel is incredible: A dozen of rats feasting, partying, and running around the entrance. Should you don't like to witness rats enjoying their lives, maybe consider alternatives.

We wanted a room with a private bathroom, and we got it! Lovely. Unfortunately we forgot to mention that we need a properly working toilet as well.

I was confused about the reviews and thought I’d give staying here a shot as the price was great at 250B a night. But to be honest I’ve stayed at cleaner places for that price. I paid for 2 nights but couldn’t bare sleeping in a dirty bed again so I packed my things and just left the following evening losing out on money. I was scared catching something from the bathroom or the bed.
I don’t get how people can put a positive review about this place... are we at the same place?!
I get that it’s Covid, but that’s not a reason to leave dirty bedding for other people to sleep on or not taking care about all the mold and fungi growing in the bathroom. It was gross.

Positive: Location was excellent. It was semi quiet (street noises not club noises), a light fussy sleeper was okay. Curtains blocked the light well. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.. Negative: Our biggest issue was the availability of staff. When they were there they were very helpful, but they seemed to never be there when we needed them. We left for Pai and before we left we asked to store luggage there. On the morning of our departure no staff were there so we had to lug our big bag up the mountain in motorbikes. Not something we planned for. also, one time we locked our key in the room so then had to wait for someone to come and open the door. shower is a little small and strange (even for ooele who live in SE Asia.).
