I got a VIP room for 430 baht here which I was very happy with. The room was big and very clean. It came with air con, towels and shower gel (but no hand soap). I also had a balcony. The young man at reception was really helpful and friendly.

The reason it lost a star is because my room was facing the main road and it was constantly loud. Once I put my silicone earbuds in I was able to sleep though.

If you are looking to get to Pai, you can book a spot on a minibus through the hotel for 200 baht and it will pick you up from your accommodation.

I can't believe the good marks that it has. The rooms and the hostel are fine, but it's located in the corner do two main roads, so the noise is constant at night, in some rooms it's imposible to sleep. Also the owner was a bit rude and she didn't want to change my room to a similar one because I complain about the noise, and she wanted me to pay more. By the way, it's full of ants, every where, you can't leave even a banana in the room

Great value for the rooms and excellent location. We stayed in a private room and found it quite comfortable. Staff is incredibly helpful and kind. Highly recommend.

Very welcoming reception. Very hygienic place to stay. Worth to stay. Have laundary, Iron, sandwich maker, coffee maker, refrigerator. All you need it have at single place. Locationwise awesome. I will give 6 stars

TIP: The hostel is under Loco Travel and Tours. Just put it in Google Maps and you will see it.

First, I would like to thank the kind manager who sorted my issue with deposit. I was charged 532 baht for a 3 night stay (100baht per night) including the 200baht key deposit, even though I already paid the room . Fortunately, it was sorted and I was able to get back my deposit before I left Chiang Mai. Hopefully, it won't happen again.

Second, the private room is large and even though the bed is a bit hard, it's good enough to sleep. Please note that the hostel is strategically located in Old City, the location is so good that you will definitely hear the party noise in the area. I suggest requesting for a room far from the street and bring headphone.

As previously mentioned, location is excellent. It's a 3 minute walk to Thepae gate and 10minute walk to Wat Chedi Luang. There are many eateries around including 7-Eleven. You will not go hungry in this place. ALSO, this is huge: WAROROT Market (the best market in Chiang Mai) is a 8-10minute walking distance. Visit it!

Just a note: the kind manager phone number is posted in the hostel and you can call her, even early in the morning to inquire.

I will definitely consider coming back to this property once I go back to Chiang Mai.

My husband and I stayed here for about 5 days in a private room. It was very nice, spacious, and clean. The balcony was a nice place to hang out, relax, and people watch. The bathrooms are shared with everyone else on the floor, usually very clean, never had to wait for a toilet or shower stall. The wifi was usually pretty good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Laundry on site if needed, and there's a restaurant downstairs that is okay (though they did get our order wrong once, but the food was still good). The only thing I wished had been better was the mattress, it was rock hard.
Also located near plenty of other restaurants, pharmacies, and very close to Tha Phae Gate.

The location is excellent and the in-room air conditioners work really well. Private rooms are fairly spartan but represent decent bang-for-the-buck.

It goes without saying that you should always be equipped with earplugs when staying in a hostel. In this case you will need them to block out the considerable road noise.

With all that said, it's a nice hostel and honestly the location is unreal -- tons of great restaurants, sights, and markets right around here. Definitely a good place to stay when you first arrive in Chiang Mai!
