My husband and I stayed here two weeks while he went to a Thai Massage course. It was convenient because it was a 5 minute walk to the school, but we also chose this place because of the discounted rate we received, 3200 baht for two weeks, equates to about 218 baht a night I think, You aren't going to find that anywhere else in Chiang Mai! Our room and the facility is also very clean, provides toilet paper, beautiful view of the mountain, clean sheets, a fridge and A/C, - and has a swimming pool! The owner is very nice, and knows a sufficient amount of english. He helped me learn some Thai phrases too!
It's also at a very good location, in close proximity (15 minute walk or less) to the public park and two daily night markets, including the wonderful Saturday Night Market.
Wonderful experience over all, the only down side I could say was there's a lot of dogs in the area, and when one starts barking, it's a chorus for at least a minute - at all hours of the day and night. But it never woke us up.
