We didn't stay there but we always visited the Banilah cat Cafe that was really close to our hotel. We fell in love with the adorable and friendly cats and visited the place very often.
The lemon iced tea was some of the best I ever had and the staff are really friendly.

This review is for the cafe only.

Interesting ambience, many cats around to pet... Ie it's a cat cafe. Had the Thai iced coffee which was delicious. I will return again before I leave Chiang Mai

Very unique place. The staff is great and very helpful. The arrival was quite a pleasant surprise, they are really welcoming. We stayed up to 11 nights, they even helped us with our food poisoning episode. The rooms are kept very clean frequently and they provide water too. The cats in the cafe are great personalities.

Extremely good value for money hostel. The room was clean and tidy, the shower was warm, but the best part was how great the staff are.

In particular, Nancy was so helpful. She gave us a detailed run down of Chiang Mai, helped us get our laundry done when none of the shops could do it, and even took us to the airport!

We stayed in two hostels in Chiang Mai, but Banilah was definitely superior when it came to value for money. Would recommend 1000%.

Amazing place. Owner and staff are simply the nicest people, really helpful too. They offer free bikes to use to get around town. Place is clean and spacious. Specially the "good night note" on our bed the first night was a big plus! Great eye for detail. Our private twin room was good, would definitely recommend!

Excellent place! The staff is extremely helpful and kind. On arrival the owner/staff member gave us a map and highlighted all to-go places in the surrounding area and chiang Mai including a lot of places to eat. The room was cleaned daily and was in good shape with fan, mosquito net, a desk and a decent bathroom.
The hostel also has a public Cafe which has 10 cats, so animal lovers will love it! Would always book Banilah again! Thanks for the great service!

Rooms are super small and bathrooms are on the balcony, also small. No real furniture as everything is made from concrete. It's far from the old city but plenty of cool stuff around. Quaint and chill. You get what you pay for. Complimentary water and super friendly staff, always willing to help.
