Banh Mi Guesthouse & Restaurant

Stumbled upon this great little gem hidden in a side street in old town. We immediately felt at home and decided to stay for the night. While the room was a bit above our budget the place felt so nice and welcoming with the friendliest hosts that we didn't wanna leave anymore. We are so glad we stayed since the room was really nice with aircon, en-suite bathroom and a new mattress. But more than that we've got to experience some of the most amazing Thai food we've ever had and we felt as though we were part of the owners' family. If you're looking for a warm and cozy place to stay and experience some amazing food and Thai culture this is the place to be!

I stayed there twice in September ...each time for about 5 days.
The room was large and clean with a very comfortable bed.
I had breakfast sometimes and really enjoyed my " eggs Poached" !
The hosts are fabulous and very helpful.
Excellent value all round.. and I expect to return before too long.

It is very well located, close to bars, restaurants, 7 elevens, pharmacies, temples, night market and more. The place is very clean and comfortable, plus you have very good options for breakfast. But far away the best is Paul and his family. They welcomed us in the best way and they helped us from the first until the last minute. I would stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommend.

Paul and his family are great hosts. We arrived late and they gave us a big fruit platter. Then, we were interested in watching a soccer match at very late night, and Paul didn't rest until he found a place where we could see it. They helped us to arrange our bus tickets and when we did the check out they gave us food for the long trip. We appreciated a lot those details. The breakfast is delicious and you have many options. The rooms are clean and comfortables. I highly recommed this guesthouse.

Although it was short, it was some of the best stays of my journey in Asia. A couple runs the guesthouse and they are absolutely wonderful people. On the first day, they provide you with a tray of exotic fruits and are always around to answer your questions or just have an interesting conversation. Do ask to see their spear gun. Oh and breakfast is complimentary - I made the mistake of trying to pay for the meal only to learn it was provided.

Banh mi Review
We had a really nice time at the Banh Mi guesthouse. We came in really early, about 8:30-9:00 in the morning. Allthough checkin was at 14:00, our room was ready for us when we came in, which was really nice.

Nick and Ms. Jaep were so friendly to us. Nick even spend an hour with us talking about the things we could do and recommendations he had for us. He even offered us to walk us to the temple for the best massage in Chiang Mai. He also managed to book us an awesome trip with the elephants just the day after we arrived.

During our stay at Banh Mi guesthouse, it was my girlfriends birthday. Nick even helped me do something nice for her, so he ordered an awesome ice cake and they all sang for her.

Every morning Ms. Jaep made us a really nice breakfast and she was so friendly during out stay there. They really make you feel at home and they are willing to help you with everything.

Accomodation is also very clean and has everything you need. When going to Chiang Mai I really recommend to go to Banh Mi guesthouse. When we come back to Chiang Mai, we will go back to Banh Mi for sure!

If I could give Banh Mi 6 stars we would! The family run guesthouse is in a great location inside the old City. The wonderful family were very hospitable and consistently asked how our trip was going and made great recommendations on places to visit and how to get around. They spoke English very well and definitely made us feel like family! Our trip wouldn't have been as memorable without them! We will be trying to visit and stay again here!
