I had been in Thailand for about a week before coming to Buriram and noticed Oli’s on the way to my guesthouse and thought it looked great. So after showering and unpacking I walked back round to give it a try for dinner. I was in Buriram to visit an old friend of mine but he was not available that evening so I dined alone. However, I was made to feel very welcome by the staff, who were lovely and took very good care of me. It’s not a huge place but seemed to be very busy with westerners and after eating my food I could see why. I had the steak, a pasta dish and a couple of beers, followed by a profiterole-style desert which was one of the best deserts I have ever had in my life! And my bill was very reasonable – I was seriously impressed and would highly recommend this place. They have a good selection of western dishes, a great wine list and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, a really great atmosphere.
