Samui Hostel

Booked a room for few days. Found out that room safe doesn't exist, TV doesn't exist, and toiletries are not provided. Everything was advertised in the room details when I was making the booking.

I went down to reception to ask about it.

I was immediately shouted out by mouthy young lady and told off that if I don't like the room I can move out! I went back to the room, only to be harassed three times by the receptionist asking if I am moving out of not! She would knock several times each time to continue her arguments, she was ready to kick us out on the spot! Only because I dared to ask about promised room features. We didn't have any alternative so decided to stay.

Later on, older polite lady has bought us shop-bought piece of soap, to function as "toiletries" I guess. No sight of TV and room safe though. I was avoiding the receptionist for the rest of our stay and we didn't encountered any more trouble.

From less exciting cons we also had underperforming AC unit (working on maximum setting all the time but still too warm to sleep comfortably) , very old and smelly room with dated furniture, everything very basic and no main light in the room, all bulbs were out. We only had one bulb by the door and two small lamps located next to the beds.

Overall, very poor quality and no standards whatsoever.

I recommend to avoid this place.

I stay in samui hostel 3 weeks. They are really nice and hostel is good and cheap, but when is some problem they have really bad attitude problem. One night we see bedbugs in our dorm and they say i am liar and they return my money and i have to check out immediately. (i allready 3 nights more) Worst thing that they only change sheets and that is it. They do not put any poison in the beds. It cost me 600baht to bring all my clothes to laundry and buy poison for my backpack. I can not recommended that hostel anymore. And also they say they have wifi but it only works at living room.

the owner are friendly. clean room, clean toilet, quite and safe. if you wish to bar hopping, you need to walk around 10-15 minutes. overall it is a great hostel.

Just a normal hostel, prices from 130 baht the night. Take care with the plugs my phone got affected in the room plugs, it was clean and they cool the rooms with fans.
The staff was friendly and is at the very end of chaweng beach but very close.

Definitely the best Hostel I stayed during my Thailand trip. Full of young people and energy. There I was able to talk with a lot of people and even make friends since they have a very good common area. Located in Chaweng beach, very close to the ocean and any facility you are looking for. I was very welcomed by the owners. It's cheap. A little messy though, but nothing you can't handle

Private Double Twin.
pros: sufficiently sealed room to use comforter with the single A/C, good WiFi (YMMV with seemingly only 3 for the building), toilet paper, towels, wardrobe with hangers.
cons: somewhat unmaintained furniture/outlets, no bathroom ventilation/sloped floor (there is blackened grout on the walls), main bedroom light was out, no soap.
other: moderately busy road, meh spring mattress, balcony with clothes rack, 200b or passport for key deposit.

Owner is a lovely, helpful woman!! Not a bad hostel...it’s not luxury but it’s worth the money! It is very close to the beach and around 20-30 minutes walk from the busy part of town.
