The Chaweng resort is a very dated hotel. The position of the hotel is amazing. When we was here only one pool was open as they are renovating the place bit by bit. The staff don't speak very good English but are kind. The shower in our room was luke warm water, and the shower head was broken, the property had an ant problem, but we looked past it. Even though the rooms was dated it has so much potential.

Located on beachfront but not close to any bars only a few restaurants and most shops closed at night near here.
We thought it was closed on arrival then the gate man opened up the reception area to check us in.
If you want a traditional Thai bungalow and feel like you're in the jungle then this is the place for you.
Bed clean,huge u0026 comfortable.
Rooms ok and bathroom needs updating.
* Buy some mosquito room spray from nearest Pharmacy u0026 spray everywhere as had these little pests in the room on arrival *
Nice little place if you like jungle noises all night.

Unfortunately the area around the hotel is very much closed, a great restaurant over the road and a few others nearby, but in all honesty the surrounding area is in much need of regeneration as is the hotel , the room we had was clean and had a huge bed, but it was tired and in need of some work. We stayed 5 nights and if you don't mind walking, it is worth a visit. It would have been great pre covid.

Great location with private beach. Rooms are spacious and have big bathrooms. Staff is friendly and the food served is delicious and authentic. The location is really nice. The beach is peaceful. I loved the place for its view, beachfront, quite and peaceful. Perfect for a long stay where you can focus and read some quality books.

In a beautiful setting, right on the beach, and very central to everything, this resort has a lot to offer.
From the moment you walk in, staff are attentive and helpful and speak great English. They will arrange anything for you.
The rooms are exquisite, the pool lovely and a great breakfast is included. It is quite reasonably priced even in the High Season. I would definitely recommend it.

The room provides relaxing ambient - good to unwind after long day at the office. Rooms were of a very high standard. Lots of noise and light when not wanted. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning as it had a wide range to choose from. Breakfast buffet was all you could eat so great value.

The first room we had was very small. Also we had a spider incident whereby a huge spider crawled out of the curtains so being paranoid we had to change rooms. Which we also paid extra for. Also the air con was leaking and it didn't work at first and they had to call the maintenance. Anyways the other room was a lot more spacious which is good. Every morning there would be 2x free bottled water outside our room which is nice. There wasn't a lot of variety for breakfast and everything seemed a little not so fresh. The pool area had a lot of space however the pool itself was not very well maintained. There were also lots of tiny bugs in the room as well and bed bugs which was not nice at all. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they like this kind place. Also it was a bit pricey considering how old the place is and how much maintenance it needs. It is also a bit far from the central areas which is what we wanted.
