The restaurant is in a small side street within the fisherman’s village. The prices for the food are a little bit cheaper than at the beachfront restaurants. But here you have no view. Therefore the food was okay but not extraordinary. I would recommend to go to one of beach front restaurants, if you are going to the fisherman’s village. We ate there a Pad Thai, which had a ordinary but simple taste. The Morning Glory was ok but unfortunately a little bit small and the roasted aroma of the garlic was missed. The red chicken curry had a lot of gravy but it was not so tasty. The portions were okay, but nothing more.

I don’t Hand out 5 stars for nothing.
This is not gourmet, this is what it is, REALLY GOOD FOOD. This is perhaps the best food I have had in the past 3 weeks, and it costed 1/5 of the most expensive. They do not try to make it something it’s not. If you order rice you get rice on a plate from a spoon.
The portions are not big but really cheap - we had red curry ( that was big) and cashews chicken.
All the chicken was melting on your tongue, our baby with NO teeth could chew it.
And it it tasted fantastic !

You should come eat here !!!

Also it’s a bit off the Main Street so there is no noise.

And the staff is fantastic!

In a little side street in Fishermans village you will find Aroy Dee. We love to come here, instead of going to the very much overpriced tourist traps on the beach side. Of course we sometimes go there for a drink, but we prefer to eat at Aroy Dee! A big menu with authentic Thai food for normal prices. It’s so delicious and the family who owns the restaurant are very nice. The also have a bar and cocktails, all very good. ????

A thai family owned restaurant where they serve great food, it's a hidden gem in the fisherman's village samui, if you are ever in the area visit them. The music was excellent, a breath of fresh air compared to the madness that you can find on the main street.

In the back off a busy street, this little gem offers AMAZING authentic Thai food. Order steamed fish with lime - you will not regret it. Cocktails are amazing as well! Half of the price from happy elephant, right across the street. Smooth lounge music, quiet, perfect. Not a 5 star environment but the food and service makes it so.

A nice place few metres from the main road. Owners are super welcoming and friendly. They use some fruits, vegetables and herbs from their own garden. Food was fine: excellent garlic bread, avarage beef brisket, amazing duck curry (meat was unbelievably tender), only the mango sticky rice we didn't like so much. Overally can recommend, we felt very good there.

Amazing food. Spring roll, Tom yum, Green curry and coconut shakes were great.
