The staffs are very accommodating, helpful, and polite. They are WONDERFUL to work with. If there is 10+ rating on the staff, that is what I would have given them. The front deskMs. Ja-ja (my favorite staff) speaks and understand English very well. The staff have a very good sense of humor too.
The entire staff makes sure the guests are happy and satisfied. They are always willing to assists however they can. We asked Ms. Ja-ja about the mailing service and she offered to mail the stuff for us.
Ms. Ja-ja also helped us booked our Island tour. There was minor glitch on the tour (not her fault). The tour that we booked was for Koh Tao but when we arrived at the departure site, the tour guide decide to switch or should I say convinced us and other customers that Koh Tao is not possible for that day. The tour company decided to go to Angthong National Park. Since we are already there and most customers agreed, we just decided to go with flow.
Anyway, the following day Ms. Ja-ja asked us how the tour was. We told her what happened. She was very apologetic and said she did not know and that the tour company switched things on us. She said that the tour company should have informed her ahead of time, so she can in turn inform her guests. She immediately, call the tour company to find out why. I think she set them straight in a Thai polite kind of way.
The breakfast at this place has a lot of variety bread, pancakes, French toast, cereal, fruits, pastries, eggs, yogurt and new Thai dishes everyday. We’ve been to a number of hotels in Thailand and Am Samui ranks No.1 on our list. The staff takes the dirty dishes off your table immediately.
The room is clean and spacious. The hotel itself is spotless. It had two swimming pools to relax and chill.
The location is a walking distance to small night market. They have limited stall but the food is good (pizza, barbecue, shake, churros, barbecued fish). The beach is about 50 meters. There are a number of restaurants around to choose from as well. I love that it is close to Big C market where I can get snackies and water. There is a gym close by if you feel like working out for 200 baht. There is a wet market and Tesco/Lotus’s but it could be quite a bit of a walk maybe 15 - 20 minutes. Lotus's have a food court with good Thai food and coffee shop. The food ranges from around 60 - 120 baht. Make sure you bring the right change and no big bills. The stall will give you CASH CARD as change and will cost you an extra 10 baht (.26 cents) just for the card that can only be used in the food court. Not really sure how it works. Just bring small bills if you DO mind paying the extra 10 baht (.26 cents). The vendors speaks very little or no English at all.
Anyway, my overall rating for this hotel is EXCELLENT. From the staff, location, facility, and value for your money you cannot go wrong with this hotel.
