Can you say there is a "best" temple? If so, this is the best temple on the island. It's tucked away in the mountains, small and peaceful. My favorite place to go and chat with the Monk and Meditation Teacher. Plus amazing views!

It's very quiet and calm place on the hills of Koh Phangan, there is a wonderful point of view, you even can see Koh Samui island from there. They do have a vipassana (see clearly) meditation retreat. The temple is amazing colorful with a laid Buddha statue. It's a must go place in Koh Phangan for visiting or for a retreat.

Serene place. With a reclining Buddha statue. Vippasana meditation takes place every month.view of koh phangan from here is stunning.

Wat Khao Tham is a very special place. Located on a hill in Baan Tai, drive 1km up the road in front of La Casa restaurant. You must park at the dedicated area, then walk. Beware if the dog. Please be respectful dress accordingly (cover your shoulders) and remain silent at all times.. There are several interesting areas to walk around, especially when it's hot outside because the place offers a lot of shadow from the trees. You can get information about vipassana retreats on the information boards. Some monks speak good English.

Best view over the island. Go here for sunset it's absolutely amazing. You can see a huge part of the jungle.

Peaceful place! We spend 10 days there for the meditation retreat and it was a great experience. The nuns and monks were very welcoming and it was even no problem at all to have vegan food during the meditation retreat!

Marvelous, calm and peaceful place, absolutely worth a visit! And a stunning view of Samui ;)
