We found the rooms to be clean. Location is perfect for getting to most of the local sites. Need to improve wifi services in the rooms. All of us individually complained about the extremely bad smell of sewage as we entered our rooms. The showers were unhygienic. Beds were hard as rocks. The staffs was friendly.

Just spent 3 nights there for a quick vacation. The size of the room was great. After doing allot of walking its nice to come back to a very comfortable bed. From the moment we pulled up we felt taken care of. Location is perfect for the full moon party.

The facilities of hotel is very outstanding. All the people here are very nice. The hotel has a good fitness center. The layout of the room was perfect. The located is hardly to find but not fat from the Fullmoon party. Price is good for its area. D LOVE to the Palio Hostel.

This was a great hostel!! Very close to Haad Rin beach and great place to stay for full moon parties. There’s free coffee and a gym that you can use for free next door. Additionally, on full moon party nights they serve dinner and supply free body paint for the party. The manager was lovely and helpful! I highly recommend this hostel.

Overpriced unfriendly serous staff. Absolutely disgusting furniture and zero amenities. Would make wayyy more sense to stay in a resort or any other hostel. There is also no barrier to mosquitos.

If you book this place don’t say I didn’t warn you. If I hadn’t arrived so late I wouldn’t be staying here. I’m moving first thing in he morning.

Update:
I cannot emphasize enough how garbage this place is. Dirty floors in the private room as well. It is solely a money grab.

Please, PLEASE don’t stay here unless you’re sure your other options are worse.

Update 2:
Office isn’t opening at the indicated time and I’ve been waiting nearly 20m for someone to show up.

We found the experience to be thoroughly enjoyable from the time we set foot in the hotel till we left. You can walk to all the locations you want to visit. Great value for the price of the room. The staffs were very helpful with any questions you may have.

We were there for three nights during the full moon party. We needed to book three nights when we arrived without reservation. The front lady was really nice and helpful for example when figuring out a way to get to Surat Thani airport really early.
The hostel itself is inexpensive
(Payed 300 baht per night) and rather basic. We slept in a room on the Thai boxing arena. You enter through the arena. We got to see Thai boxing. We were able to use the basic gym there for free.
The 6bed dorm room was clean. It got sandy quickly and was cleaned one time. The bathroom was good. There was a working AC. The bar outside is really nice to prepare for the full moon or any party and to chill out at. Although located near the lake I didn't see more Mosquitos than any other place. I don't know how they do this.
All in all this hostel seemed really a good option for an inexpensive and fun stay!
