Best Thai food in Koh Tao. Period.

After few days in the island, we were struggling to find a tasty local joint, all was cheap bland soulless food made for backpackers.

Then we stumbled upon miss Boom's eatery, where she cooks all and every single dish with so much love that makes you feel at your grandmas house. All that effort requires time, so don't come here if you are in a rush, as your meal can take a while to arrive.

The prices are ridiculously cheap for what you get. Portions are on the small side, so its great to try many different dishes for around 40baht each.

The menu itself is a masterpiece of varied smells and unique dishes that I didn't saw in most places in thailand like the century eggs kaprao (holy basil); makes you wanna hug her on the spot. Other good choices are fried red curry catfish, crispy pork salad (like papaya salad with fried pork belly!!! ), massaman curry,
Fries sweet radish with egg, stir fried pork with oyster sauce... the list is endless.

Do yourself a favor and try miss Boom's real Thai food; there's life beyond pad thai.

It was delicious and very cheap compered to all the other restaurants around. Only Thai people I have seem eating in there, which is a good sign. But the food took 1 hour to get the table, a bit too long. That's why 4 stars only. But the food was good!

Fully agree with all reviews. If you want real local food, this is the place to go. Prices are unbetable too
