This is very difficult review for me.
The hotel is beautiful and unique, it seems that a lot invested in the hotel.
There are several pools at the hotel, and the rooms are cozy and clean.
The crew is very generous pleasant and helpful.
But, and this is a big but, the hotel is built on a mountainside, with no elevator, and a lot of stairs to climb up. Not a fun in a holiday.
Another thing is that there are a lot of insects at the hotel territory and this is also not a nice thing.

We stayed at Le Palais from February 9 - February 12,2020. ROOMS A17 u0026 A9

We must admit we were quite disappointed in our stay. The hotel architecture is beautiful and breath taking and the staff were super accommodating and friendly. However we did not sleep for 2 full nights ranging from a number of concerns. In Room A17
There were 2 cockroaches and a lizard in the planter that’s above the head board. We called twice to front desk / reception and they were quick to send someone down. The second attempt at 4 AM they were finally able to kill and remove the cockroaches. The guy they sent into our room admitted it could be from the holes in the walls / concrete. Which made it difficult to sleep knowing that there could be more. The lizard made noises throughout the night made it difficult. If your not scared of insects this may sound like stupid issues however my wife is terrified and kept me up due to this.

The water in room A17 does not work properly and comes out far too HOT or FAR too cold no in between. We were not able to shower or even brush our teeth. The beds / mattress need to be replaced they are hard as rock as you can tell in the other reviews about this.

The third night we requested a second room which was much better, the water worked and there were no bugs. However the A/C did not work. On the remote it showed 15 but the room temperature stayed at 27 degrees throughout the night. This was the third night we didn’t sleep well at all.

After paying $16,000 THB. We feel like this stay unfortunately was not worth the money.

We are not the type of people to EVER complain and we understand that climate and insects are hard to prevent.

Other than a small lizard in our room (managed to get him out quickly) everything was perfect. The hotel looks, the view and the pool are amazing, and the staff was quite helpful to address all our requests. :)

This hotel is really out of words, we were lucky to stay there. Rooms are absolutely clean and beautiful, every detail is just perfect. Staff very nice and helpful and the pools Amazing. If you really want a Thailand experience, STAY HERE!

Staff are helpful and friendly, views are amazing and the hotel looks fantastic set inside an old temple.

Pool is clean and nice to swim in and food in the restaurant is good quality.

Shower is really weak, lighting is dark in the rooms and there is only a bathroom mirror. The wifi in the rooms is also particularly poor which is difficult when not using a Thai SIM and needing to get info on places nearby.

Would recommend as a decent place to stay for a short period but is out of the way and the area nearby is hilly and steep really need to rent a bike or get taxis everywhere.

One of the most amazing places I have ever stayed! This hotel is a sight to be seen. The views and staff are out of this world. Get the pool view room you will not regret it. I was in awe of the details put into this amazing structure. Luxury at an affordable price. We stood one night for the full moon party. Right on the main road you can easily get to sunrise beach for the party in 5 minutes and 100 bhat. The hotel has its own beach which is very nice and so many amazing pools. The restuarant has the best view and the food is delicious.

Very unfriendly and annoying staff. Wanted to stay here, came to look what’s inside the hotel, when I just took my phone to make a photo - the girl from reception said that you are not guest, go away and kicked us out. She even didn’t say hello or how she can help us. She was standing at the entrance and staring at us all the time. rude and unpleasant. first time I see this kind of strange service
