Buri Beach Resort

We booked this because the pool is lovely and the area has a nice Thai feel about it. The rooms however are just awful. After one night here we paid the extra to upgrade to the apartments which were amazing.
The bed in Buri Buri was like sleeping on a table with no mattress. It was just horrible.

Resort is very lovely, a little on the older side, but relatively well maintained. Shares facilities with the sunset resort next door. Includes a small relatively private beach, 4 pools and a couple of bars. Well situated close to Haad Rin beach if you are in the area for the full moon party, but just far enough away to be quiet enough to get a good night sleep. The staff are very friendly and full of smiles. A shout out to Rommel who greeted us every morning at breakfast.

Our room was clean and comfortable, however a bit dark and old-fashioned. What we really missed was the cleaning, we had to request it, but even when we put the sign nobody came.
The garden is very nice, creating a great atmospherw, but it is quite dark in the evening and there are usually random dogs all around. I like them and we had no issue, but maybe it would be a bit scary for some.
Pool at the seaside is great, we really loved it, but I was suprised that if you order something, there is no option to have it for the room account, nor paying by credit card, so even in the place calling itself a resort, we had to bring cash to the pool... It was disappointing. Not that we ate there a lot, as both the poolbar ans restaurant is overpriced, there are far better options nearby.
Overall the resort is nice, what means the pool, garden, location and rooms, but the services are really not good, it could be a much better place with a bit of an attention and organization.

The resort has 4 swimming pools with both rooms in old and modern style. Staffs are lacking of communication. We had trouble getting beach towels. I first asked maid, she said wait here, but nobody ever came. Then Hotel's manager or whatever told us to ask at Front Office, went to Front and reception told me to ask at the pool. Went to the pool, staffs said no towel, ask at Front. I eventually got the towels after waiting 20 mins.

Buri beach is a nice resort, the rooms are not so nice but all around it is. Very nice pools, is on the beach, good breakfast, is quiet, very close to full moon party and 15 min away with the car to half moon party. The room was not so nice due to the old furniture and I spoted some mold on the lobby (but not in the room)

Stayed here for the famous Full Moon Party. Buri is part of the Sunset Beach Club and you have access to all areas of the resort. Easy 5 minute walk to Haad Rin. The room was nice, standard stuff. The shower above the bath was hard to use as it wasn't completely over the bath, but towards the end, so ended up having baths most of the time. Esco Bar right on the rocks in the middle of the resort is a great quaint place to have food/drinks.

The vibe here is really off, the staff are rude and have no customer service skills whatsoever. As an out of resort guest to the pool, and despite buying drinks and food all day (totalling well over 1000 baht) we were treated with a sneery attitude and our money was even counted right in front of us like it was dirty and we were trying to short change them...

There are far better places on the beach front for you to spend your precious time at! Enjoy :)
