This resort has so much potential. It's clear covid has taken its toll sadly. The location is amazing and the outdoor pool + bar is as good as it gets.

The staff are really lovely and attentive. The restaurant staff need some help however, they can be rude and not attend to needs. We are for a dish to be mild in spice and it came out with at least 10 chillies cut up in it.

The beach is amazing and the free shuttle into town 3 times a day is great. I'd recommend coming here to support this resort, hopefully they can afford a refurbishment soon. It needs it.

We loved the place!
The location might be a problem if you are into going out to the central beach (Sairee) often but renting a scooter from the nearby renter (which is great!) definitely solving the problem.
The restaurant is good but it is just good and the prices aren't cheap as they also charge extra percentage for taxes and service (just include it in the dish price...).
There is no gym! even though it's a resort and I don't think a resort can afford not having a gym :(
Anyway we had a good and long stay, the staff are smiley and helpful and this might be the best resort on the island.

Located on one of the beaches of Koh Tao with clear water and white sand. The hotel facilities are very nice with 2 beautiful swimming pools overlooking the beach and sea. The outdoor restaurant is just perfect with its location right behind the beach. Very friendly staff. But it is sad the hotel staff cannot manage some non guests tourists using the hotel facilities which are normally for guests use only especially the pools and their sunbeds !

Positive:

1. Beautiful location and has a nice beach.
Good snorkeling location with an artificial reef.
2. Very secluded location and not that busy.
3. Free bus to town a couple of times per day.

Negatives:

Very tired rooms in need of renovation. Pictures on the website do not reflect reality. We have also complained about a bad drainage smell in the room but nothing was done about it.

Very basic breakfast choice. Not much Thai food.

A very slow and reactive approach to service.

The staff are nice and tried their best to help, but the hotel is so badly maintained. Very dirty and definitely not a five stars standard. Beddings are dirty fully of stain. Even after complain and change there are stains on every set!! Rooms are not well cleaned! Dust and animal waste everywhere. Rotten water smell (from the water to wash your feet after the beach ) everywhere. Such a shame! As the hotel has a very nice location! Beach is not that great for swim either! You get a better accommodation at any other 3 stars hotel!

Haad Tien is a terrific resort at an excellent location on a beautiful private tranquil beach. The rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and spacious. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Katie and the friendly staff. They offered information about all the amenities and the island.
I would definitely recommend this resort! It's a true sample of wonderful hospitality. They go that extra step to create the best experience for their guests!

The beach u0026 view are wonderful, couldn't get tired of looking at the beautiful beach. The food is good and staff are friendly. Our room is very comfortable. The only downside is that there is no privacy for the bathroom. I think it's ok for a couple but, for us friends, it was a bit inconvenient.
