Very friendly and fast service. We had a lovely conversation with one of the owners.

We ordered the Pad Thai and Thai Green Curry with rice. Both were fantastic and full of flavour. On the menu it states that spiciness levels can be adjusted and I asked for just a little spice and it was spot on for me when leaving the chillies.

Would highly recommend!

Amazing vibe, amazing food, amazing drinks and superb staff! Very friendly and great English! The decor of this place is also stunning!

Incredible tempura prawns! Very nice and relaxed ambience, super attentive staff. Great music and a nice bar to drink something after dinner. The prices are good, a bit cheaper than the beach restos and with better quality, although you don't have the sea view, it is a very nice roofed terrace with lots of green. The stir fried prawns with cashew nuts and the chicken cakes were delicious too. Good and clean bathrooms.

The Galaxy Restaurant and Bar is a very cozy place and gives an authentic feel because of the reed roof and all the green.

Let's start off with some positives:

- As I already said, the place itself looks very green, local and gives you a cozy feeling.
- My fried chicken was delicious and it was a good portion.
- My girlfriend loved her burger.

There were unfortunately a couple things that I disliked:

- The amount of fries are a very, very small portion. I think the smallest I ever had in a restaurant. They tasted okay but a little blant, even with salt. They were also not even hot, more like room temp.
- The waitress ( wife of the owner ) wasn't really paying attention to us unfortunately, probably since it was 6 pm and we were the only customers. When we were done eating we had to wait about 15 minutes before we could order something else because she was sitting down behind the bar.

Afterwards we realised both us and the owner were dutch so we talked for a good 5 minutes about Thailand and he was nice. But I will still be honest with the review.

Since this place has a lot of good reviews we were probably unlucky

This place does fantastic Thai food and great cocktails. The Thai food is very authentic and actually spicy which seems to be a rarity. They have a pool table for customers making this not just a great spot for dinner but also for a night out. I also recommend their alcohol free cocktails which are delicious.

I come for dinner and I was alone not for a long time. Two groups of family arrived not discreet at all. But with the lovely atmosphere and nice old jazzy music it was a perfect moment. I'll take time to choose and to appreciate my plates. A good mixed fruit shake, shrimps tempuras (the best I've tried for the moment in Thailand) and a nice mixed salad spicy but not to hot (or you want hottie put the sauce on it). And for dessert I've tried the bananas boiled in coconut milk (really sweet and addicted for those who love both). I appreciate the place, people who serve and the owner here and discreet too. And for the price, a good deal for me.

Beautiful food at reasonable prices. Owner was lovely and even though she was rushed off her feet, the service was quick. Would definitely return.

P.S if you’re young enough, ask for the special menu…
