Only ate here once but wished I came earlier. Really good food, biggest portions I had on the island for the same price elsewhere. Staff were friendly and the menu accommodating for changing veggie dishes vegan. Coffee, banana and cinnamon shake was divine. Definitely go here if you're after a nice meal ✌️

What a great place the Sonya Guesthouse is, and I can see easily why everyone else loves it as well. The place is so charming and authentic, it feels like your own little home. The food is absolutely phenomenal, don't pass it up. The people are lovely and the place is just great. The people were so generous and helped us with renting scooters, finding places to eat at night, and grabbing a bus for the airport. They took care of everything. The bungalows are clean and bug free, a.c. works great, beds are nice. There's a place to get your laundry done right next door and a 711 right down the street. There's spots to park your scooter in the back and i think staying here in Koh Lanta may have been my favorite part of the trip. Thank you so much for such a pleasant experience. We will definitely be returning.

We stayed at Sonya Guesthouse in Mar 2017 and had an amazing time there. Staff is simply the sweetest, and very helpful, and the dorm room and private rooms are kept clean, all have a personal fan and so long as you have mask and earplugs,are very comfortable. You're a 3min walk to the Klong Khong beach from there, which is simply wonderful. The restaurant is fairly pricey but once you get the food prepared and brought to you by this awesome staff you'll understand why. Unisex bathrooms and restaurant-level shower are clean and well-maintained. I wish I could have stayed at/visited the bungalows which are right behind the restaurant and even closer to the beach. Anyway, nothing bad to say (I remember think that they compost AND recycle!), simply that I highly recommend it!!

One of my favourite restaurants on Koh Lanta. Delicious food, both thai food and western food. A nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Usually go there for dinner, but tried breakfast there today - a really good scrambled egg with tomato and onion. Highly recommend!

Good location just 40 meters from the beach and from many beach bars and restaurants. We didn t try the food but seems very good.
The wifi in the structure was weak in that days I was there, a bit annoying for a traveller.

The staff is very welcoming and already available in everything you need.

Great breakfast- really good Caffee Latte and well-sized portions. You can ask for any kind of specials like with or without sugar or things like that. Further they have reusable straws.

Such a lovely family business. Wonderful people honestly. They let our little girl play with their children and lots of toys, she had a blast. And on top of that they took a lot of their time to answer questions and curiosities we had. Definitely recommend to stay with this welcoming family!
