Breathtaking view ???? efficient check in and friendly staff. The rooms were nothing less than what we expected. Had the pool all to ourselves. Super value for money and away from it all. Just loved the feel here, super laid back. If you're thinking twice about staying here, don't. We've travelled extensively throughout Thailand and you can bet your bottom dollar that you won't be disappointed.

The restaurant by the bay was lovely. Very polite and friendly staff. Food was mid range priced and tantalized our taste buds. I'm writing this with a tummy full and super satisfied.

It was a very nice view and places, their whole family is helpful and friendly. I remember that me and my daughter car was stuck down there because we don't know that car can't go down, our car almost went down to the beach, it's very dangerous. But then, she call her father from home and come to help us to drive up the car.???????????? It was an interesting and adventures experience and I wish their family always in the pink of health. I would probably visit them again if I went there.

We met friends there and it was very fun for a few days. (I can only do rustic a few days at a time.) The place is very cute and has a few monkeys that come thru. A monkey found a bag of trash and made a mess. Then he fussed at me as I cleaned it up. Staff are all great. Fun place.

So this is the best beach in Koh Lanta and this resort is the best situated on it. The rooms have amazing views (although unfortunately you are not facing the sunset). It should be one of the best places in Lanta unfortunately the place is not being maintained properly. The rooms and the restaurant are becoming dilapidated, broken down and dirty. This is reflected in the cheap price of rooms but it's a shame nonetheless. If someone came in and started renovating and running the place right it would be really good.

The location is great. You will have a direct and awesome view to the beach and sea. The manager is very nice - if you can catch him. Most of the time we tried to organize something we had to try multiple times to find someone who could speak English. Booking a trip or transfer to the airport? Make sure to plan ahead. The rooms(we had one with air-conditioning) are nice and all have balconies but are fairly run down and accessible to all kinds of insects. Even after the room was cleaned on request, some parts of the bathroom stayed dirty. The bungalows without air-conditioning are built with wood, and someone's handrail on the balcony broke of as soon as they leaned on it - dangerous because all bungalows are built on a steep hill. If you can, go to Baan Phu Lae. It's directly at the beach, not on the hill and has a great beach restaurant where you will have to go to anyway because the restaurant at Bamboo Bay Resort isn't open, and seemingly for quite some time too.

The second star was really just for the amazing location. Reserved standard room ended up with a bamboo hut that was falling apart and appeared to have never been cleaned. We have been backpacking SE Asia for 3 months and this was the dirtiest room yet (and more expensive than most). Could be a great place if they just put in the daily maintenance.
