Really annoyed at myself for not staying here longer. In fact I booked this place for one night because the other place with higher reviews I wanted to stay at for a nice end of our holiday wasn’t available on that night. However La Laanta Hideaway Resort is SO much better. Off the beaten track yes, but totally worth it. 15 second walk to the beach, 2 second walk to the pool, fantastic food including the complimentary breakfast that was customisable and cooked to order.

The chalet was beautiful and we sat outside facing and listening to the sea on our private decking all evening. We rented a car at the beginning of the holiday so it made getting here easy but just a tip - look out for the barrier made out of bamboo - that’s the road you need to turn down.

The mornings was great, walk straight out of bed into the sea and there’s a whole family of cows and monkeys who cross the beach also. Beautiful surroundings and one of the quietest and best beaches.

Stopped in on a tour round island on moped. Spotted this place on the beach went in for a coffee and cold drink. View is amazing from there deck area on the beach. Didnt spend a night here but from what i could see it looked a decent enough place.

This place is wonderful, no car burit, in the heart of the forest and at the same time on the seafront. A smiling team ... the rooms are beautiful and comfortable .. for me the most beautiful place on the island. I would come back it's obvious.

We stayed here for four nights. We had a WONDERFUL time. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were super. Tic was attentive and always ready to help. Food was excellent too- one of the joys of this place is that it is far from other restaurants, bars etc ( if they were even open!) - so be prepared to travel by bike, taxi or car. Lived this place so much!

Awesome resort on the beach with a great staff. The rooms are adequate and do the job, but for the price, this place was great. Everyone was very friendly and even invited us to play volleyball with them just before sunset. Keep in mind you are essentially in the jungle (part of the appeal) and you will encounter geckos ( both small and large), monitor lizards, snakes (not venemous), and monkeys. As an animal lover, it was very cool. They have some dogs and cats that live there as well (the sweetest dog Now Now, even came into our room to sleep when it was a bad rainstorm!). If you're looking for a great deal and places with good vibes and good people, stay here!

Don't come here during low season! As there is only one resort on this beach (I think), they only collect the garbage on the beach when the high season starts. We couldn't enjoy the beach much during daytime, but at evening we went to stargaze. Amazing! The hotel is already showing signs of age, but it's not very bad. Our room was very comfortable, but in the shower we could choose between either "burn my skin off" and chilly (until we found a sweet spot after trying around for 5 minutes). The pool is nice, but please, PLEASE put a sign there that people need to shower before entering and mustn't put on sunscreen before entering! There were 4 other people at the pool beside us and all of them went in without showering (even after sweating in the broad sunlight and some of them after putting on sunscreen. DISGUSTING). The staff is very nice and will protect you with slingshots from the monkeys during breakfast (they are a real problem). Super nice manager! Price-performance is so so. PS: The roads on this island and driveway of the hotel are awful! You need to be at least an experienced amateur if you want to come here with a rented motorbike. And DON'T try it during nighttime!
