I've stayed in the area for one month and this is by far the best quality and value Thai restaurant. The service is prompt and friendly. The food contains NO MSG. Ma Ma Dang cooks everything herself using the freshest ingredients and original authentic recipes where others cut corners for convenience and to cut costs. I've eaten here for at least one meal every day during my visit. Delicious.

Ma ma dang is the kindest person I met in Thailand. Her kitchen is really good, super fried rice, if you request something she doesn't havr, she run to the supermarket to buy it for you. We stayed 3 nights to her, accomodation is simple but clean, old and imperfect but very functional. Hot water and aircond perfect. She took for you motorbike and ticket dor your travel. You feel at home with her, won't go away :) If you are searching for a nice stay and a lovely person you must go.

Ma Ma Dang's is one of my favorites. She's a gem and she and her staff are always smiling. They serve both local and western food. My favs I can definitely recommend are the Pad Thai and Khao soi. I ate there many times and really appreciate the good service, friendly staff and the very reasonable prices.

This place has some serious hygiene issues.

We stayed in the "Deluxe double room with bath" and it was terrible. The aircon and fridge were moldy inside, it was not only disgusting but also a health hazard.

Besides that the furniture was old and worn and had an unpleasant smell, it looked like the room was not even cleaned before we arrived. The floor was sandy, the bedding stained and the towels torn. The windows were not clean and couldn't be closed properly, and there were dead insects on the walls and window panes. The curtains were stained like they have never been washed. The picture that was supposed to hang on the wall above the bed fell off and no one fixed it, and the wall paint came off in a few places. There was a thick cover of dust under the bed.

The room had a view of abandoned balconies and jungle. The beach was not close and was full of waste.

Breakfast would have been okay if it hadn't been served on stained plates and cutlery.

The owner seemed friendly when we arrived, but when we told her the room was dirty and that we wanted to leave, her attitude changed. When we proposed her to have a look at the room herself, she just said no and laughed at us.

We left after the first night.

I LOVE MA MA DANG'S FOOD! It is, by far, the best food I had during my month on the island. I strongly recommend a visit.

Mama dang...lovely lady....very placid...room spotless and modern....price includes breakfast....good value...not in the best spot but bike hire from mama cheap as chips so your never in the room long...tv got movie chanels....bathroom great ... No bugs....????
