On arrival my wife was surprised that the showers had no hot water so I went and asked the staff if that was the case. They confirmed there was no hot water (which was fine) and acted like they were annoyed by the question. We stayed there a week and I tried for days to be friendly with the staff but they just frowned and had nothing to say. They seemed to be friendly with some other guests which made it more irritating. It got to the point where I didn’t even want to see the staff because of their attitude. It kinda seemed like we weren’t cool enough for them. It was the first time I’d had such an experience. Also, our room was cleaned only one time. Quite unacceptable considering how much we paid for our Christmas stay. The location was great and the beach was full of quirky and fun restaurants and bars. But there’s no way I’d stay at this place again.

Great place, amazing staff, everyone is so friendly and accommodating.

We spent 1 week here in 2016 and came back and stayed for 2months in 2019, from October to January (yes, we're currently here!)

The food is amazing and most things on the menu can be made vegan. Kun is an amazing cook and understands what vegan food is. He's made us amazing vegan Thai dishes! If you want amazing food come over!

The bungalows are spacious and cute. I love the fact that the showers in the rooms have no roof. One gets so close to nature!

If you are sensitive to the noise from the other places on the beach get a room further back or on the same side as the bar. There's little control over what others are doing. The place itself doesn't play loud music and is quite chill.

All bungalows have nets so no need to worry about insects crawling in at night. I absolutely love the place!

Also the best sunsets can be observed from here!

Stayed here while Text u0026 Go was possible for a week. Most places were shut or not fully working. Kun and his team are still at their best. If you are uncertain where to stay, you can never go wrong here!

**Original 2017**

A pleasure to stay here! Directly at the beach with very friendly staff. We loved the food they prepared. If you let them know what seafood you would like for dinner, they will buy it very fresh from the market and prepare it exactly how you like it. Boss Kun and his team do everything to make guests feel welcome. It was a really pleasure to stay here. The bungalow we had was very nice, close to the beach but please know that it's open! Insects will come in (and go out again) and the shower is outside as well. If you like basic accommodation with amazingly friendly staff and great food you will feel very well here!

Cannot speak highly enough of this place. Everything we hoped to find and more. Fisherman's is the perfect balance of chilled out and atmosphere. Kun and Lap are fantastic hosts, they organised diving, day trips, scooters, taxi etc for us. The rooms are simple but clean with nice touches including outside (private) bathrooms. Cocktails at sunset in the hammocks here can't be beaten. There are plenty of good restaurants and bars just a stroll along the beach if you can bring yourself to leave the hammock. A+ hospitality, A+ location, A+ music taste, A+ cocktails.

All the positive I read here is true.
But I give this low review to warn others and to point out, that this place is extremely noisy, the neighbor bar parties hard till 3 or 4 in the morning and you are sleepless in your lodge... this is not a recreational holiday!

Absolutely loved our stay at Fisherman's Cottage. Great location along Klong Khong Beach on Koh Lanta. Very friendly and accommodating staff, they helped organise tours and transfers for us. Very chilled nightlife along the beach. Wonderful place to relax and chill in a hammock on the beach. We stayed in the Shark room closest to the beach and it is highly recommended.
