DO NOT STAY HERE.
We chose this destination based on its positive reviews, but we were forced to find alternative accommodation as it did not match the description and the staff were unhelpful and uncommunicative.

The property was unclean when we arrived (the toilet was disgusting, the shower barely worked as it needed descaling and we found a previous guest’s earplug and sunglasses by the side of the bed), and despite being cleaned whilst we were there, there were still ants everywhere - all over the kitchen, crockery and baby’s bottles and toys.

The air conditioning in the mezzanine wasn’t able to keep the room cool, so it reached 35° in the daytime and meant we were unable to leave the baby in there to nap. This left us having to drive him around the car with the AC on every day for his naps.

Despite confirming multiple times in advance, the property didn’t have a cot when we arrived so we had no where to put the baby. Someone went out and bought one for us, but said the Thai cots are ‘unsafe’ and indeed our son did get his arms stuck through the bars of this metal swing cot, so we had to improvise and wrap it in blankets we bought. They didn’t provide any bedding for the cot.

We also chose this property as it had a TV (for the evenings when the baby was asleep) - but the weak wifi didn’t reach it and it didn’t work. So we ended up having to reconfigure the room and move the furniture around so it could pick up the signal elsewhere.

Ultimately, the staff were incredibly slow to respond to our requests for help, and after 8 days here and no solution to the AC and uncleanliness, we had no choice but to cut our stay here short and find last minute alternative accommodation - leaving us substantially out of pocket. Some of these issues would have been excusable if they reflected a budget price, but for what we paid we expected much, much better. I do not recommend staying here.

Such a lovely place to stay! Great accommodation - we stayed in no. 6 with the loft bedroom for our children. Outside private seating area u0026 a lovely pool. Close to great beach u0026 restaurants. The hosts were superb - so helpful with collecting us from Saladan, organising moped rental u0026 a early check in u0026 late check out. They really couldnt have been more helpful u0026 welcoming. Wish we had stayed for longer - we will definitely be back!

This place is a hidden gem. You wouldn’t think it from the road, but it is a secluded little paradise! We loved the pool, patio, and spacious villa. We stayed in the largest, I believe, and it was fabulous! The beds weren’t the best. But everything else was amazing! They offer beach towels and mats for free. Friendly management and owner. I wish we stayed here longer!

Was a perfect place to have a relaxing few days. The room was spacious comfy and had everything we needed. (We booked the medium size cabin) the pool was nice and clean. The only minus was the WiFi dropped out most of the time in our room. Did notice there was a couple of modems attached to the big rooms perhaps its better signal in other parts or the resort. Without my data package the no WiFi could have been a bigger issue. Staff were friendly and helpful overall we loved our stay at escape cabins.

I really liked our stay at the escape cabins. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is very calm here and there is a pool just in front of the apartment. We were in the cozy one, it was enough for two of us. The apartments are cleaned every day very properly, and each day you get 2 bottles of water and instant coffee. Luckily we had our mosquito net with us, this is what I would recommend to bring, even I was expecting more mosquitos. The owner has a few cute cats walking and chilling here on the property.
To the beach are approximately 8 minutes walk. In the neighborhood there are Restaurants, Bars, Cafés and markets.

Very nice little resort out in a quiet area. Nice view on the hills, very quiet, nice pool and simple but clean and tasteful amenities make the experience very enjoyable. Beach is just a few minutes walk away, as are a lot of services, which make the place ideally situated.
So much actually that you would very much enjoy having breakfast on location. The included coupons to the neighbouring coffee are a nice touch.
Hosts and staff are lovely.

The owner and receptionist were lovely and very helpful. Escape Cabins is a nice quiet place just off the main road. The pool is a little small but was kept clean and helped refresh us during the hot days. The design room is very big and kept to a high standard, we had a foreign plug adaptor and a bluetooth speaker which were great little touches.
