Chao Phraya Tourist Boat

Convenient way to see many attractions along the Chao Praya river at a reasonable price (150baht booked online for all day hop on hop off ticket). Some staff are very friendly and helpful (especially lady at the counter at the Maharaj pier) but some are complete opposite. Woman on the boat checking tickets is extremely rude and impatient and was constantly screaming loudly at the other staff members and bumped into me on one occasion when she was charging around the boat shouting to someone outside. When the boat stops at each pier there is a crazy rush to get everyone on and off as quickly as possible with staff practically pushing you off and yelling/pointing frantically where to go, not really sure what the mad rush is for? There was also no on board commentary as advertised on website, and there is an additional 5baht fee to take the ferry crossing to get from Wat Arun on one side to the Grand Palace on the other side.

For 150 baht, you can hop on and off the ferry all day. It stops at several major ports, and comes by every 30 minutes or less. The staff were kind and helpful, and I enjoyed the rides!

Use the cheaper express service, don't get directed to the wrong queue.

The 'tourist' service is slow and expensive, use the orange flag express service, not blue flag tourist service, it's also a lot cheaper. Both leave from same piers, just be careful and firm with staff.

Terrible service staff, zero-level customer service experienced at Asiatique today. The company representative who works at the boat station was totally unprofessional and as a result of our complaints decided not to sell us ferry tickets at all, but was doing that for others. That’s a shame. He didn’t want to introduce himself and show the id, so picture of a “hero” is attached.

Please know your hero. This gentlemen trying to scam tourist by not selling tickets and trying to sell for bigger price. He is selling tickets to people under table. Please avoid this company since they hire such a scam and unprofessional people. He doesn’t want to tell his name and being super rude!!!
