Good but not great.
Multi storey building with all rooms facing the sea. No tall buildings in front obstructing the view except maybe the very low floors. Rooms are spacious and clean, but they don't have balconies. The building is old but kept in good condition. The rooms are partly renovated (floors, hot water boilers, tvs and new A/Cs) and freshly painted. Missing plugs near the beds, which is expected for the time the hotel was built). Fantastic shades which block the sunlight (this is rare and a big problem in many hotels) with stickers on the side to attach on the wall. Keep in mind that you get old fashioned keys and NOT cards for the doors. Bathrooms look very dated but they are spacious and practical so I had no complaint.
Renovated ground floor, big and spacious restaurant (ground floor), breakfast has good variety for this price and star category (3*) and is replenished immediately. Very big outdoors pool on the 2nd floor, and next to it comes the gym. Towels given for the beach and the pool. The gym is small butbit is very deasently equiped with everything you need for a complete workout. My only complaint Wich often happens with hotels gyms is the lack of heavy weights for tihose more advanced in bodybuilding but you've can't have it all while on vacation.
One minus is that although you can see the beach on front of you (250m), it is not accesible because you have private property on front. You have to walk for 12-13' to the main entrance of Hua Hin beach, though this is the case for the majority of accomodations in the city.
Internet connection (free WiFi) is excellent and the speed is great. Digital tv channels Thai, as well as many foreign ones.
Safeboxes can be found at the reception (you get your own key) and not in the rooms themselves.
All in all a quite big, aging but we'll maintained property, which I think u will enjoy without paying exorbitant amounts of ????.
