E-Saan Station Restaurant

I have been to E-Saan Station about three times now. The restaurant covers a large area with lots of outdoor seating. As I have always stopped in for lunch I have chosen to sit inside to get out of the heat. The inside dining area is fairly large by itself with a capacity somewhere around 50 or so.

On my last visit I ordered two items, Rice with Chicken and Garlic, and Pork and Vegetable Spring Rolls. Everything that I have tried so far has been very good and so has the service.

The place draws a larger crowd in the evenings than it does in the afternoon. A couple of times when walking by in the evening I have seen tour buses dropping of groups of tourists here.

Had to change my review into 3 stars. The food is good and service is ok, but in my recent visits the have reduced the portions into half. The soup for example is very small for a 150baht portion. And some grilled meat dishes are very tiny. The same type of food you can find in other nearby local restaurants with much cheaper prices.

Thai Restaurant with live music. Visited during the evening. Staff was friendly but can't really speak English making communication difficult. Ordered 3 dishes plus 1 soup. With a small beer and a coke. Total bill came up to be 750 Baht. Overall experience is so so.

Great seafood in a large outdoor restaurant. They have LARGE river prawns! A delicious Thom yum with sea bass. It gets VERY crowded but it is so worth it. Walk down soi 94, cross the train tracks and it'll be on your right.

Good E-saan (north-eastern) food and variety sushi menus. Price is ok. Menu in Thai/English. Live acoustic band starts at 7.30 pm. Nice for dinner.

Not as good as the review says. We went there yesterday. Staff was not friendly, more irritated because they don't understand English. Like it is only for Thai people.

The table cloth was dirty. Has not changed.

The food was not as good too .The minced pork with basil was very salty .
The soup tom yum with sea bass was very spicy and I have for little spicy .

Not recommendable.

I love this restaurant because it is very romantic and next to excellent thai food also offers european food, as well as sushi, as the Sakura restaurant next door as well as the already traditional restaurant 94 also belongs to it! The food is of a very high quality but still cheap, Tom yam gung 120, - bath, the staff is friendly and well trained, but the surprise is not, as the owner also constantly stay in work!
I am looking forward to the next visit!
