The grilled squid is delicious, the price is affordable, and the place quite comfortable. They can not speak English but they can speak Malay. If you use grab to find the location use key words OOI Kaikatsu.

I was a big fan of Kaikatsu since it was first open. Congratulations for the success expanding brunches. I noticed that lately, they dont keep the quality of the food anymore. Rice in sushi is not cooked properly. You can feel the rice is still raw instead of the salmon. Ordering sushi is a nightmare for someone who is hungry. Take very long time to serve and will serve only once ask. The price is now become insanely expensive compare to the quality of overall ingredients and the cleanliness of the place.

I'm not writing this to take down the restaurant or creating bad reputation but I'm hoping for improvement because Kaikatsu is still one of the most mentioned restaurants and one of a very few Halal Japanese restaurants. Id like to compliment on good things which are the variety of the menu, quality of the beef for Shabu and politeness of the waitresses.

I'm sure that the stuffs are aware at some points and willing to improve but maybe they need a head up at some other points as well.

Slow on serving, yet good grilled river shrimp.
Less than sanitary ice cream station, yet good icecream accessory (for children; mashmellow for example). The dish for shabu is place in open cabinet below hip, not mention the slice beef. Shells and Mussel are miniature in size and fairly pass in taste.

You have other choice in this price range

Dirty floor. Dirty restroom. Price is quite high. Only good point for this place is location. it's the only Halal Japanese restaurant around Bangkok hospital.

Amazing food, great service. Wudhu and prayer rooms available. Worth every ££
