Very nice dining experience, but a bit pricey… The dishes all look wonderful, but it feels like the chef is holding back on the spices. Sometimes I thought: this could just do with some chili peppers or acidity to really make the dish pop. Not sure why they’ve chosen this cuisine to have no spicyness at all… but it feels a bit off.
Therefore deducted one star, as you would just expect a bit more for the price. The venue is great and the service is quick.. maybe a bit too quick at times. Although we were glad at the time that we could return to the hotel early, on any other night I would feel that 10 courses in give or take 2 hours would be a bit rushed.
The mocktails are the absolute highlight of the evening and they do boast a great wine list. At a certain time I forgot I was drinking non-alcoholic drinks, they were this nice. Definitely recommend!
Other dishes that are great: the beef in the leaf, the noodle dish (although, could use a bit more oomph), the compound butter and the interesting dessert with rice milk ice cream
We had 2x tasting menu, 1x the wine pairing and some 3 mocktails came to around 10.000 bht.
