To see the views you have to go around the fence/gate/barbed wire and climb up one of the phone masts. There are some staff buildings 100 metres or so before the gate, the people there may care about you entering a restricted area if they saw.

Nice little road to the top but NO VIEW! Top is dedicated to communications equipment, barbed wire fences.
