I came here for the first time for mangrove tree plant volunteer. I came with the volunteer organiser called "One Fine Day", which I found the information on Facebook. They said they host the volunteer every week (need to check for more information). The activity itself was nice, we plant the tree and pick up some garbage from beach.

I'm kinda impressed with the way people there figure the way to grow mangrove tree in such environment. They explain how hard it was before and what all they experiment until they found that planting in block of semen is the best way, and the tree can go beautifully.

And I guess as it's military area, the nature is pretty perfect with some fish and crab and lizard. I will sure go back for it some day in the future, and hope my trees grow well by that time. ❤️????

The children love that there are project introductions on different themes in the four houses, which is very simple. By the way, you can also climb mountains and see the beautiful scenery.

Big museum. It has 4 opened building. Each has staffs to take care and air conditioning turn on. Less and less visitors because it is on the mountain people has to climb up . The path to the museum has shade , not so hot. Things in the Museum are some information about nature which i think the way they present it is not interesting. It like a place to keep things and information which you can see from internet if you search for. However because of source of funding so the museum is still alive. Top of the mountain is the view point. Considering it is an exercise to walk up the mountain on the solid concrete stair under the shade of trees. So it is not too bad for new comer.

One of the best nature museum in Thailand ever. It is so amazing that can see scenery of sea and learn about natural creatures. The building located at terrain of mountain chasing step to the top of hill. I recommend this place for students family etc.

Beautiful cultural museum built into the rocky cliff. There is still construction going on, but there are souvineer shops and very informative exhibits about sea life and the dangers of trash/plastics to the aquatic life.

The view was worth the walk uphill. The museum itself was okayish. Could do with a bit of a better organisation.

Only 700 people allowed on this military island, so you have to be early this get a ticket. Only Thai nationals and spouse are allowed as well which complicates matters. The island itself is quite pretty and there's a decent amount to do, just a shame the coral is obviously dying from all the tourist activity
