4.5 for food but 5 for ideas and presentation. Some dishes had unnecessary flair like the pickled egg yoke as I prefer a more conservative egg. Crispy pork was extremely crunchy, soup was well balanced and served piping hot. Palm juice very nice - top of the line liquid gold

One of my favorite place in Bangkok to get delicious beef tongue. Their rice bowls are also quite nice. They are quite creative with the way they name their dishes and the ingredients used as well. Restaurant is quite small but typically not full. Sugguest to call and check availability of beef tongue before visiting. Parking is available at Asia Hotel for 20thb per hour.

A small but cozy restaurant hidden in Soi Phayanak alley. The shop defines itself as progressive Thai cuisine. I have lunch set named "daddy's favorite" which is salted pork with rice (หมูกะปิ), and it comes together with pandan infused water. The dish is good, maybe a little bit salty, but overall it makes me want to come back for it. The downsize of the restaurant is its size. The area is too small for a warm and bright shop like this.

Everything was delicious! I will definitely return. Try the boneless sea bass.

Very good Thai food. The crispy pork is excellent. The bed is also good and higher priced dish will use higher quality beef. Also love the automatic palm juice and coconut ice cream with black sticky rice.

Baan was an absolutely incredible find! We went there on our first night in Bangkok, based on the praise of the (few) previous reviews we could find. We had to fight off the pouring rain, but boy was it worth it!

The food is pricier than the average fare but is well worth it given the amazing quality of the food! The family who run the restaurant are super friendly and we had a good chat throughout our meal, even ordering seconds so that we could try a bit more of the amazing menu!

The venue does an amazing job balancing a homely atmosphere with a unique sheek look and feel.

I think we found a true gem in this little niche - they've only been open for a couple of months - but I expect big things from them! Amazing place and people!
