The absolute nicest, kindest, sweetest staff at a lovely boutique hotel in a great location. This is my favourite area of Bangkok for first time visitors and returning travelers alike. Definitely recommended!

Aurum is a great hotel. The staff is super friendly and the hotel is very nicely maintained, even though the building is a old one.
The lift probably needs some repair, the sensors don’t work probably and it tries to close on people. Also, they don’t have hand showers in the bathroom, which is kind of a turn down for people visiting from India.
They serve a good breakfast and the breakfast area overlooks the beautiful Wat Arun, and you can see the river from your hotel room.

Pretty convenient location, comfortable rooms, nice staff. But… They shafted us out of a significant amount of money because of miscommunication with a boat tour they booked to the floating market.
Hotel staff acknowledged that the boat driver took us to the wrong place, and refused to take us to where we had agreed on and paid for. Same hotel staff was unable to refund part of our boat tour money (which we paid to the hotel and I’m sure they had plenty of margin) and/or cover our out-of-pocket transport expenses.

The rooms have an European touch and are nice. Staff spoke excellent English and explained directions to us for where we wished to go. Breakfast was served in the adjacent riverside cafe and we enjoyed the Thai breakfast option every day. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Bangkok.

Nice people and a small family run business. The neighborhood is increasingly hip, bringing more fancy eats into the area. It used to be very quiet here but it's kind of trendy now. Aurum is not trendy, is just very nice and very peaceful. Have stayed here for many years and will continue to do so. Great breakfast too.

We got the room with partial view and were very glad to wake up and see the river and temples. Breakfast served each morning in a setting just off the river bank was very good, with pre-selection of food items. I had a river front room which I truly recommend if it fits with you budget. The facilities is quite old.
