Attitude Attitude Attitude BUT NO MERCHANDISE - I think this should be the headline they must have outside their store.
I visited the store at around 11am,,, obviously no one at the store, just a dozen employees mulling around. They ask me to get in line although there is really no need. I refuse, then they reluctantly let me and my companion in. Inside assistants just mull around and hardly does anything other than looking at patron up and down. Store is somewhat small and do not have much merchandise. It is more like a showroom than a store. Shop assistants just mull around and hardly does anything other than guarding the door like some nightclub bouncers - albeit they are all girls.
I previously purchased a shoes here - told by a male assistant that it is for a man - only to find out that it's actually for a lady,, or for unisex if you wish to wear. I understand this trend of unisex clothing etc etc etc,,, but don't mislead clients with wrong information. I write to Chanel HQ about this and yet to hear an answer.
Overall - this issue with Chanel stores seems to be universal. Attitude attitude attitude for no reason other than to create myth, overpriced yet under-quality (for what it's worth) merchandise, with design that is outdated and looks,, well,,, old. Worst of all, they mislead clients as I find out myself.
Chanel reminds me of Prada back in the days. Nothing special but just myth and marketing. Eventually they will come down the earth and find out that even if they open their doors wide open, no one will come in anymore. These shop assistant and door mats with attitudes should find some employment with Zara on 3rd floor. At least they have products with right prices range,,, and don't mislead clients.
Simple advise - don't bother to visit. Zara or even Uniqlo has better merchandise on 3rd floor.
