Ohkajhu just became my go to place. I love that it satisfies both my healthy eating and occasional cravings at a relative reasonable price. However, we did have something not so pleasant to talk about after being there 5 times (including twice for this branch.)
Before this, I have never heard that they would put syrups (aka sugar) in the smoothie. ( customers should be informed)
We ordered one strawberry avocado and one blueberry avocado, and they tasted drastically different. One tasted so creamy and nice while another one tasted like they didn’t even put any avocado in.
We asked the staff out of curious since they look quite identical in terms of the avocado to berry ratio on the menu.
One of the waitresses seemed quite upset about it and did not answer the question, making us feel like we did something wrong to ask a question.
However, another waiter came and kindly explained (at least!) that the strawberry one has less portion of avocado (20%) than the other one (50%).
So I guess I have to do some trial and error until I know which one would taste like what is expected as the menu.
Also, the yogurt and salad dressings are quite sweet, too. For those who really watch their health and sugar intake, please ask before ordering.
