On Ubon City Bus FB says it runs 7 days a week from 6am to 9pm, but BEWARE this does not happen on the full route from the airport to Big C.

ON CONTACTING UBON CITY BUS ON FB I WAS ADVISED THE LAST BUS DEPARTS BIG C AT 7.20PM.
Udon City Bus number 20 bus stop is located at Udon Thani airport outside entry/exit no. 5 at Terminal B and I observed it to depart every 30 minutes at quarter to and half past the hour for its city circuit: see the Udon City Bus app, which has route and live tracking. Daytime there seems to be 8 buses in the tracking circuit so they appear to be able to run at 15 minute intervals.
Bus fare payment 20 baht note or coins into machine on boarding with no change given, but drivers appear to have some funds to change larger notes.
Tracking on the app is problematic as there is a jerky and inconsistent lag of the buses location.
From the airport the bus enters and stops at No. 2 bus station (generally for buses to destinations west and north-north west), outside No. 1 bus station downtown (generally for buses to the north, east and south east of Udon Thani; also buses to Bangkok and Laos) and similarly minibuses, which are also available at Central Plaza shopping centre, Udon Thani railway station; then down the length of UD Town and onto the Big C terminus on the ring road. The return is the same, except it does not call into No. 2 bus station and you would have to request a stop on the opposite side of the dual carriageway.
Daytime timetable seems to be good and reliable on the many times I have used it and it was a disappointing experience after 7pm when the drivers randomly terminate the service.
