At Bangkok Hospital Udon Thani we had our second child. During that experience they attempted to keep me out of the room because they gave my wife the shot in the wrong place and she had difficulty breathing, then I finally forced my way in and while holding her hand I see this concerned look on the surgeons face, she cut herself open while cutting into my wife's abdomen.
When my oldest child was having a root canal done, they couldn't seem to numb the area appropriately, whether it was knock off lidocaine or improper administration of said local anesthetic, my child was screaming in pure agony and crushing my hand and flipping off the dentists for 45 minutes and she passed out soon as she was in the car from exhaustion.
A year later I had been suffering from back pain for a few months because I lifted something that should have been lifted by 3-4 people. When I went in the doctors thought my sun spots and moles were a zoster outbreak because they didn't bother to actually examine me closely and gave me medication for zoster and scared the heck out of us. We went home and washed everything and when my kids tried to hug me I had to tell them to get away, 1 year olds don't understand this. The next day I went to seek out another opinion. Turns out I didn't have zoster, I am just a white guy with some moles and sun spots and they misdiagnosed me at Bangkok Hospital Udon Thani. I went to get a refund for services and medications since the services received were BS and the medication was not needed. They refused to refund me the entirety and the specialist said "ohhhh looks like the skin lesions are all gone, but you still have zoster." The other specialist I saw said "if you had skin lesions, they take weeks to heal, not hours."
As for privacy, non exists! My wife's room where she lay naked and wiped down with iodine, had big windows on the door so any staff (janitorial or otherwise), or random visitor could walk by and see everything. Besides that, if you are sitting and waiting for a doctor with a bunch of people sitting around you. The nurse just starts talking about all your medical in-front of everyone and asks you private information loudly without any privacy. This was insane!!!! How do they think this is normal behavior? If you tried this in any hospital in Japan, most of Europe or North America, they would get sued for millions usd.
Because of these experiences I will not be using Bangkok Hospital Udon Thani ever again. If they aren't willing to protect their patients and to reprimand their doctors for improper diagnosis and negligence, this is not a hospital you should receive any treatment from.
