I stayed here in 2016. The lady that ran it at the time was named Wanita. If she still owns it I highly recommend. I was a weary traveler that wanted to put roots down for a week or so. She turned into a mother for me. She taught me of Thai culture, Buddhist culture and always wanted to help me in anything I was looking to do. I ended up staying for three weeks and she is family now. I hope to one day return. I’ve been all over the world and have never met a woman with such a kind, caring heart. I can’t say enough about this woman. The hostel is her home that she converted into a hostel when her husband died. Her travelers are her family now. I still think about her often. Please stay here and enjoy the warmth of her home that she will gladly share with you.

I would have loved to have more time to spend here, I stop overnight on a journey back from Sawannakhet, the place is nice and reminds me of this old Thai hard wood houses (the upper floor got a wood pavement) the rooms are adequate according to the price, toilets are small but functional and they have hot water in the showers. The girl at the place was very nice and helpful. Good location.

The hostel has rooms for anyone's pocket, you can choose to have air-con or only a fan, you can book a room at the top floor, which comes with a riverside view or you could just opt for a bed in the common dormitory. The owners are a little bit quirky, but only sometimes.

Accommodation is fine, though the market across the road is a convenient breakfast, it is quite loud at night.
I think the inside staircase is very steep. I survived a midnight fall with a fantastic bruise to my ego.

Fan room was good location right by the river and market. Very basic. Was too basic for me with a tiny fan for the whole room which was too hot..Was cheap to stay but left after 1 night because the hotel 3 doors down offered a private room for 250baht.

Nicely located spot in Ubon Ratchathani. The lady running it is quite nice and has good advice for the local area. She helped us out getting to the train station for our trip to Bangkok as well for a very reasonable price.
