A big disappointment.
Overall, Samed Grandview Resort is less beautiful and charming compared to the photos shown.
The room does not correspond to the descriptions: we booked a 30m2 room but we got a 24m2 one, and the safety box is missing.
In addition, the room is not convenient: no towel rack, no power outlet in the room, there is only one in the bathroom. It's hard to set the right temperature for the shower. The size of the TV screen is ridiculously small. What is more, a nauseating odor rises in the bathroom when it rains.
Only positive point: breakfast is held in a large beautiful open room facing the beach. The buffet offers a multitude of food choices. Too bad the coffee is not good.
In conclusion, it is very poor value for money.

Location was quite and the beach was nice.
The room were clean and big, but the TV was always in the way because it was placed in the middle of the way hanging on a pillar. The light switch was to far away beside of the bed. The bathroom was big enough to have a sink but they decided to place it in the AC room. For some people it could be convenient to freeze while shaving or brushing the teeth, for me/us unfortunately not. The bathroom was protected from the outsides insects but not completely. The door between AC room and bathroom doesn't sealed perfectly too, therefore a couple of Moskitos were able to sleep with us every night.
The room had an safe and a fridge. Fridge had some offer, like Coca-Cola or beer even water which you might need to check because we needed to pay for one bottle even we didn't even touched it. However this situation came up, I would have been appreciating some honesty or accommodating. We stood 4 nights.
The onetime decision to eat in hotels restaurant were regretted immediately. The seafood was ... Old. The fried rice was good but for 150 bath way to less with one cup. Raw Shrimps were served fancy, but this gave me an opportunity to get to known more with the toilet ????..
The daily breakfast had some pancakes, some egg dishes like scrambled eggs. Coffee, water juice, toast and cornflakes has been also served.
The boat back were a lot bigger than the speedboat at the beginning. It drove so fast everyone had some concerns about it. So if some people like a ride like this them speed boat otherwise ask for the bigger one which is also fast enough. Maximim +-10 minutes is the difference.

All in one this hotel was not Bad but if the hotel has not many customers it seems like the service goes down noticeable.

Great place right on the white sand beach. . Excellent services...from the car park at Ban Phe Elephante Cafe till the ferry transfer and service. Has a fireshow in the evening on the beach.
Only concern...they play really loud music through the evening... disturbing

It's a shame this resort feels it necessary to force it's unnecessarily loud and bass heavy music on all it's peaceful and quiet neighbours. The seating in front is comfortable but the music certainly drives customers away.

It's OK but there are better places to stay at samed. Staff are very kind, rooms are small and dark and cleanliness fall quite short from what you would expect from this type of resorts and the price tag

Here’s what we found good:
1. Right on the beach.
2. Nice but small waves to do a little body surfing. Beautiful white sand.
3. Breakfast buffet is good with plenty of western/Thai food choices.
4. Soft comfortable bed.
5. Very nice and helpful staff.

Here’s what we didn’t like:
1. Much of the outside seating is very uncomfortable. In fact, their white wicker-like chairs are made for aliens to sit at, not humans. I’m being serious.
2. The music they play at dinner and through the evening is way too loud and all rock/rap even though many guests are older.
3. Their non-alcoholic drinks are only coffee and juices. The juice I had was not good.
4. All the rooms have gray cement walls. Feels institutional and depressing. Although many of the rooms have desk space, ours had no desk and no chairs except the white alien chairs outside. (See above)
5. The bathroom was large but had not one hook to hang out wet beach clothes.
6. Our bathroom had very poor lighting. My wife didn’t like that at all.
7. It was impossible to keep the air conditioning off us while sleeping so we had to hang things to divert the air.
8. The maids keep the doors open while cleaning so each day we had a fresh crop of mosquitoes to kill or be bitten by.

We decided to try another hotel next time.

Excellent place to stay with friends and family. Sea beach facing resort with wide variety of rooms and facilities. Good services and nice staff, food and ambience. Should stay ! Lots of places to eat nearby and other facilities like 7/11 stores, shopping stalls for beach stuff. WiFi and breakfast are included. Kids will enjoy and prefer this place. Prefect place for short holiday or weekend trip.
Enjoy the sun and white pristine soft sand and the fire show at night.
Cool place, stay safe !!!
