Let me say the staff were polite but I think are bound by their strict policies from management.
When we checked in with Breakfast included we were 1 hour early but were refused check-in even though many rooms are vacant, as we only needed to drop our bags and then go for sight seeing. We ended up lugging are gear around for the day so that was the first indication things weren’t going to be smooth.
Secondly when we did check in, the room was dirty floors dust on benches and bathroom had marks over basin which appeared like someone had brushed teeth and left it. We did complain straight away and they gave us another room but I have to say they are dated, some fittings are broken and not the best, but we were relatively comfortable and needed to shower and sleep.
Thirdly when it came to the breakfast that is included as a foreigner there was not much to choose from and if I wanted eggs and toast they wanted to charge me, so I ended up with an omelet that wasn’t so bad but asked for a piece of toast and was told that they would charge me for a slice, we tried to argue the point to place a piece of bread in the toaster for it to go with the omelet and they wouldn’t comply.
Then came the coffee in a small cup which is fine but when I asked for a refill again was met with resistance and had to pay. Would definitely recommend looking elsewhere for accommodation as everything is too hard for them. Hotel management here needs a shake up definitely won’t be back here, oh the constant crowing from a brood of roosters living adjacent to the building might annoy you as well. Also to note when we arrived the hotel had a posted sign stating a lower price so we contact Agoda (as they state they would pay back the difference if found to be cheaper). That didn’t happen as Agoda wiggled out of it by stating it was not advertised on line.. So No Refund.
