Me and my friend stayed a bit late out in Phuket Town one night, and was in search of a taxi in the rain to return to our hotel. Seeing that we were obviously lost, the hostel owner flagged us down, and graciously offered to call a taxi for us. She even offered us hot water and food, despite knowing already we have hotel bookings elsewhere.
While I didn't stay at Win Backpacker Hostel, they deserve this good review because the hostel owner is the very definition of hospitality.

Some people forget that you get what you pay for, and with this place even a little bit more. The hostel mama was always generously giving us waters, fruits, and foods. Traveling as a couple, a private room was Very cheap, clean shared bathrooms, and close to everything in the old town. No windows in the rooms, and they were a bit hot, but I didn't pay for an air conditioned room so I wasn't expecting to get one.

Awesome backpackers in a great location. Stayed my first night in Phuket town at Phuket backpackers down the street, and found Win Backpackers the next day. Price was much better, and the place is very clean. I stay in a dorm and it has solid beds, and individual lights and plug sockets. AC too I believe. Local owners with a little boy who is always smiling.

Nice simple hostel, worth the price. Lady was very helpful in helping us book cheaper tours, helping us to save money by taking bus to our destination. Only bad thing was the location, you could take to Patong Beach in the morning when it is not so happening, and the bus ends at around 5pm. So the best choice is to book a hostel in Patong beach, enjoy the nightlife and come back the hostel the very next morning. Hostel provide us a variety of tours and packages which the lady could cut the price down by almost 30 to 40 percent.

That hostel night was traumatically. Cockroaches like everywhere. And that horrible smell. The hostel lady offered us food - gladly we said no - maybe the next night would have been in hospital then.

Great convenience, clean and comfortable - all at a very economical price. Close to where the songthaews leave downtown Phuket for all other island locations and connections from the downtown bus terminal one. The Thalang Sunday market (very nice and much lower key than the weekend night market) is only two short blocks away. Good eats and pubs abound in the vicinity. Nice, abundant and clean restrooms and showers at the hostel. Comfortable oversize bunks in the six-bed bunkroom where I've stayed. Food, drinks and connecting travel arrangements economically available through the hostel owners/managers. Recommended for those who like a quiet, clean and low-key guesthouse environment.

We visited this place in November 2015 and were super happy with our hostel choice. Doing a world trip and living on a budget we were searching for a cheap place to stay and didnt had any great expactations.
The rooms and facilities are more than OK concerning the price but what really makes this place maybe the best of our trip is the heartwarming hostel lady which really cares about her customers
Always smiling and helpful, offering fresh fruit to us at every occasion and free of charge, as well as always asking bout the plans to help with some usefull advise
If you visit the place soon you even might be lucky to get to see the little kitten she actually saved out of the Street
It is hillariously active and funny, chasing everything and fighting everybody
