Pre warned is pre armed..

This is an average animal collection and entertainment venue.
With an expensive entry price.

Ignoring the animal liberation stuff and the usual hype, it's a collection of caged or restricted animals that are used to entertain the public.

By Asian and Thailand standards it's not fantastic.
But no cruelty is used that I saw.

The web, including Trip Advisor says 500 baht entry fee.
Its 1,500 for adults.
Its 1,200 for children.
This now includes photos when you enter and the right to take photos of some of the exhibit animals.

The performing monkey (singular) is worth a miss.
The crocodile show will one day take and arm or head off.
Some huge angry crocodiles here.
The elephant show is two animals that spin hoops and kick a ball.
Plus take currency notes off you at the end with their trunk.
The tiger photo opportunity is also very lame..
Real tiger, just appeared very docile.

About two to three hours tops.
BTW Thais or anyone who lives here with a thai license and address can get in for 100 baht.. yes that's right.

0/5, 0/5 and 0/5 you paid 1500 bath to see a zoo in condition of deplorable cleanliness. Very horrible place. We cannot understand how this zoo his still open. Please don't give us money. All animals are maltreated. Water of Crocodile not cleaned. A lot of place with waste odor

Not a well looked after zoo. I understand why with so many other live animal attractions nearby. It needs some serious refurbishment. It's not cheap either at 1500 BAHT per entry ticket. Has a couple of live shows which were ok.

Entry to this place should be taken before hand from a travel agent or one of the million agents on the streets of Phuket. When you reach there on the spot it would cost approx 1000 baht per adult which didn’t look worth it at all. Outside you would get the same at 200-300 baht per adult. From outside it didn’t look very maintained and at that price it didn’t feel worth it.

If you have kids maybe you could give it a look, but avoidable in my view.

I rated 2 stars because I'm Thai and I can get in with Thai people's price, which is very very low compared to the foreigner price. If I'm foreigner I would definitely rated 1 star because I'm sure it's not worth the foreigner price. It is a old zoo without a proper maintenance.

I believe this Zoo is a scam, entrance fee for foreigners/tourists are so expensive(even the zoo in my country or any other country for that matter, does not cost that much) and yet the zoo itself is so rundown with the animals are NOT well treated, so sad to see those animals were treated that way. For those who are planning to come down to Phuket Zoo, please think twice! Not worth the experience.

Phuket Zoo is not like other Zoo I have ever seen. They have 3 show and several photo taken place for your memories like you can take pictures with Birds, Monkey, Crocodile, Elephant, baby monkey, peacock, inside the Aquarium tunnel and also the Tiger. They have Crocodile, Elephant and Monkey shows.
