Having read the comments on this website, my sister and I decided to stay in Baan Suay Karon Beach for our trip. We also did some research and the images for your hotel at the website were quite breathtaking. The reviews from various guests were also quite positive which explains the reason we decided to stay here.
Following the instructions for payment, we had already paid the bill for the hotel through credit card. However, when we checked in, we were told that we had NEVER PAID. Due to tiredness, we didn't want to argue much, so we paid again by cash.
However, when we got into the room (Number 3), we saw three COCKROACHES, appearing from corners of the room!!! We were overly disappointed at what we saw. After we had requested for two times, the staff finally changed the room for us. However, the room we were given (Number 204) was poorly maintained with hygiene and there was even stain on the bed.
Being angry of how we were treated, we decided to argue with the owner. However, the "nice" staff(That's how people describe) didn't give us the phone number of the owner and tried to cheat that another staff was the owner of the hotel. The staff could do nothing but repeating the words"I Don't Know". We provided them with credit card payment receipt, proving we had paid twice. They insisted that they did not receive the payment, though they could not provide any proof for it. They said they had called the bank and the bank said no payment was received. That was the only proof, and not a person on earth would trust their words.
Finally, the real owner promised us that he would check and provide us with the proof, whether or not the bill was paid. However, four days later, until now, nothing have been sent to us. We deeply feel that this was not right and the owner owes us an apology.
