We thought it was customary to wear long pants when visiting a Wat but strange enough saw a lot of people wearing shorts here. It can get pretty hot visiting any outdoor spots in Thailand so make of that what you will.

Be sure to try roti sai mai while you’re around Ayutthaya, there are a bunch of stalls outside the temple selling those. It’s basically coloured candy floss rolled into a wrapper (similar to ‘popiah’ skins). Nice little local snack.
