We were at the airport for a layover to Bangkok, so we went in for a meal. We ordered the typical fried rice, fried chicken and pork jerky. The food was average, but appropriate pricing, unlike other airports that bump up ridiculous prices.
However, when we finished our meal, we grabbed a can of beer that said 45 baht. As we grabbed the can, the waitress walked over to the fridge and took the price off of only that item.
Six beers later, we paid the bill. They had charged us 50 baht per beer. We questioned it, although it was not much, we had thought it strange that the price was bumped up only after we grabbed the first can. It was now equivalent to the bottles of beer of the same brand- of higher volume.
The wait staff said the price had changed. I asked why only that beer, and why it was the same price as the bottle, which held more.
They could not provide an adequate response.

The principal of this made my blood boil. Being a foreigner, there was not much I could have said that would make sense, but we paid our bill and left feeling as if we had been jipped.
Having racked up a bill of close to 1000baht for only two people, I felt disheartened and angered.
