The story goes that a construction company was digging away on a building foundation when it came across a cave. They spoke with their spiritual advisors at the monastery who told them to move the cave into the temple. Hence we have the Cave Temple. Unique and worth a visit. Small but interesting, no ticket needed. Rest of the complex also open. Bathroom in back too.

Definitely impressive and must have cost a vast amount of money. The "cave" is inside a building and made by sticking real stalactites and stalagmites taken presumably from real caves elsewhere. Cannot condone the ethics of this, especially within the context of a temple. The very new viharn is built of beautiful polished pink marble. The interior not yet finished.

The alarming contrasts of these fine temples in areas of absolute poverty and deprivation. This is a fasinating historical site together with a 'new' worship centre.

Very clean. Highly recommended. They have a monestary where the interior is made to look like a cave. Also, they have petrified trees on display.
