I originally didn’t want to do this walk because I was so tired from the day before but I am sooo glad we decided to go.

Google maps takes you to the wrong place but someone else left a really good detailed review on how to get there, so check it out!

The walk isn’t the hardest we’ve done but we’ve done quite a lot of of nature trail walks. It’s easy at the beginning but then gets realllyyyy hard once you reach the stairs. There’s a little bench at the top of the stairs to have a little sit down before you continue. But after the stairs which is near the beginning it’s actually an alright hike. Few rocks you need to climb towards the end but nothing too hard. All very worth the effort when you reach the top. The view is just so beautiful.

We managed to complete it in 1.5 hours the way up and an hour the way down. We walked quite fast though as we were limited for time because we arrived at 2 and had to get back down for 5 as that’s when the national park closes. It’s actually really good, they have staff at the bottom who write your details down and give you a phone number incase you need help when you’re up there. There’s a little shop that sells snacks too to buy before your hike. Make sure you have at least 2 litres of water per person thought because it gets hot and tiring. Eat a big meal beforehand too.

This national park is also FREE which is amazing. Opening times are 10-5 if I remember correctly so make sure you leave enough time to come back down before 5.

Love love loved this walk and view. Felt like lion king! Haha

If you wish to do something else beside the beach you should come here. The forest is beautiful with all the plants looks like a jungle. The path is well maintained till the top where you have an amazing view. Prepare with closed shoes and enough water!

This is not for every one. Quite long and demanding climb. But you are rewarted with spectacular views if you do the effort. Remember to take water with you. 0.5 litre bottle is not enough.

Beautiful track (rural). We are used to hiking and needed with taking pictures 90 min up (in afternoon) and 70 min down in the dark with head lights. Better have good shoes and if you want, Take a little bath for cool down in the end. Sunset is nice but better is propably the sunrise.

At the start of the Rattanakosin or Bangkok period in the late eighteenth century, when the capital was finally settled at Bangkok, an elephant kraal was established in Krabi by order of Chao Phraya Nakorn (Noi), the governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat, which was by then a part of the Thai Kingdom.[citation needed] He sent his vizier, the Phra Palad, to oversee this task, which was to ensure a regular supply of elephants for the larger town. So many followers immigrated in the steps of the Phra Palad that soon Krabi had a large community in three different boroughs: Pakasai, Khlong Pon, and Pak Lao. In 1872, King Chulalongkorn elevated these to town status, called Krabi, a word that preserves in its meaning the monkey symbolism of the old standard. The town's first governor was Luang Thep Sena, though it continued for a while as a dependency of Nakhon Si Thammarat. This was changed in 1875, when Krabi was raised to a fourth-level town in the old system of Thai government. Administrators then reported directly to the central government in Bangkok, and Krabi's history as an entity separate from other provinces had begun.

Awesome trek, steep at a few spots. The views from the top are some of the best I have seen so far. The waterfall is a bit disappointing u0026 can be skipped, but the rest makes up for it.

It can be a difficult treck if you don't have an active lifestyle. But the views are worth the effort. Go early in the morning and do carry loads of water.
