I had such a nice time at this hostel. It was a very quick walk to the beach, and the facilities themselves were great.

The staff are all warm, lovely people with good hearts. They were very welcoming and took good care of the place.

The bed was a little hard but at the price it was just fine, no complaints there. It builds character.

I didn't try the food but it looked tasty

The people who work here are so nice and helpful! Our stay was great, we at breakfast every morning with a beautiful view of the mountains. It’s about a 10 min walk away from a beautiful beach, and just across the street there’s a food court where you can get really good, cheap thai food (Pad Thai!!!). The beds are a little bit hard, but the showers are warm, the blankets and pillows are nice, the common area is cute with books and pillows everywhere. We loved our stay, we even left and came back! Would definitely stay here again.

Location:
10 min walk from the beach. Decent food market across the road where you can get meals from 80 baht. Lots of places to eat and drink with live music closely located.

Hostel Restaurant:
I had a pretty bad experience at the The Moment's own restaurant. I had a fried rice with 3 prawns and plain rice, no vegetables and a little taste.

Bedrooms:
Clean and tidy. The bedrooms had a nice Aircon. Not too cold, but enough to sleep. There was a lot of noise from other guests one of the night. The dorm hallway is big, which might entice more noise from drunk teenagers coming home late at night.

Bathrooms:
Clean and tidy. Free soap in the baths, and in the toilets. A lot of space in the showers.

General:
The staff is nice and they helped us with good prices on tours.
For the price of 340 baht pr. night, I do recommend this place.

I stayed at The Moment in October 2018 for three nights and was happy with the hostel.

Pros: 1. Economical hostel with a brilliant location, it is a quick ten minute walk from the Ao Nang beach and literally as soon as you step out, there are plenty of amazing restaurants, streetfood carts, massage parlors and 24*7 department stores.
2.The bathrooms are spacious and SO clean. Not once during my stay did I find anything remotely dirty.
3. You can get a good night's rest, no blaring music and such shenanigans.
4. The staff is sweet and helpful.

Cons: 1. Only minor thing I can think of is that before you purchase any packages from the hostel desk (they sell the one day island packages etc.) make sure you confirm the price from other kiosks outside, plenty of them on the road. I found a difference of 100-200 bath.

Lovely place! For the price that I paid I expected much less, but rooms where clean as anything, showers too, good air con in the rooms, reception people very helpful, both in terms of the hostel as well as helping figure out what to do during the day for fun, and English-speaking. Atmosphere was also very nice - loads of young backpackers mainly.

The hostel is pretty big and has dorm and private rooms. The hostel was pretty full when I stayed there, so there was a lot of opportunity to interact with others. It has a common seating area where one can hangout. Beach and shops are pretty nearby, so location wise it was pretty good. As a backpacker you will like this place.

Each room is spacious enough to hold four people. The staff are helpful and friendly. Not far from the main street, only a few meters. There's a food court opposite that is busy at night so you don't have to worry if you want to go out for a meal. The hostel also offers a day tour package to nearby islands and an airport transfer.
