If you are looking for a peaceful down-to-earth place out of touristic hussle, Bananas is a perfect choice. I stayed there four nights by myself and absolutely loved it!

Traditional bamboo hut was cozy. I was a little worried will it get too warm during the hot season but I didn't even have to use the fan at night.

Note that restaurant is not open (spring 2022) but there are nice places nearby.

Very special place with a great host! Olli made our Thailand-trip very special with the insights in Thai culture and life he gave to us. Furthermore he is a unique person you have to like which corresponds to this special, exotic, natural and quit place he is offering. Totally different from any mainstream tourist location like Koh Phangan, Koh Samui or Phuket.

Beautiful place in a quiet and calm neighbourhood. Stunning views throughout the days and the pier is an absolute gem. Olli is a great host, super responsive and supportive - thanks again for everything. Certainly recommend if you want to relax and disconnect for some time. Thank you Olli

Wonderful place with a great host. Beautiful views and quaint clean bungalows. Our children liked looking at the wildlife, monkeys, guinea pigs and variety of birds.

That was definitely one of the nicest places, where we ever stayed. At first we wanted to stay for one night, but we ended up staying for 3 nights and we definitely would have loved to stay longer too.
The owner and the employee are very friendly and help you with everything. The bungalows are very nice, also the place is trying to be as eco-friendly as possible, for example: they use refillable water bottles and also they haven't cut down the mangroves like the place next to the bananas unfortunately did.
The food at the restaurant is really delicious also the prices are fair and you can get nearly every meal in a vegan or vegetarian version.
We did love the place!
The only thing, that you might want to know is that there are two cats and five little dogs. They are friendly and we really liked them, but if you are scared of dogs, you maybe would fell uncomfortable as the dogs are usually running around.

Quite possibly the absolute highlight of what was in its own right a very memorable time in Thailand. We ended up staying here completely by chance, arriving in Krabi without a reservation anywhere. We hopped online and chose this place simply cause we liked the name. The taxi took us out of the city and into the rural surroundings of Thalane Bay. Wither you're going to and from the airport or in and out of the various surrounding towns your trip is always a meandering tour through the jungle and the towering karst mountains that dot the area. It is otherworldly. The bungalows are in a wonderfully quiet area, complete with its own mangrove forest and sandy bay perfect for swimming (and accessed by a boardwalk which cuts through the mangroves). Because of its location the night skies are bright and the area is occasionally visited by a troupe of monkeys. Guests get their own personal bungalow, complete with hammock for catching up on your reading/sleeping, and there's a communal dining area perfect for meeting people. Perhaps best of all however, the locals are on staff and make authentic Thai meals. The area is conveniently located almost equidistance from all of the different communities in the Krabi area that one would want to visit and the owner and his staff are incredibly friendly, and always able to arrange taxi service in and out of the many locales. We have already decided we'll be staying here again the next time we can make it out to Thailand. Trust me, this is exactly the kind of place that you were envisioning when you decided to travel down to Krabi.
