We (3 backpackers between 25-30 years) were in Krabi for several days in December. We called the day before briefly and reserved two rooms. When we arrived we were very friendly welcomed. We had one single room and one double room, each without air conditioning and without a private bathroom. We were very happy with the rooms!
We also met Patrick, the owner, and his wife Thip. I must honestly say they are some of the nicest people I have met in my time in Thailand. They recommended very nice spots, invited us to their place in the evening and taught us some Thai. I think we could not have had it any better. Thank you for the great time and i hope we see us again. Many greetings Holger

+Decent guesthouse with cheap rooms for a reason - no AC.
+ The decoration is nice as well as the open roof top.
- I was missing some english book library - to swap books or just to keep myself busy.
- no computer to use
- Also most of the time the people at the reception can barely speak English and there is no bottle water or snacks to purchase (which comes handy when traveller arrives/departs late or early).
- !!! I would certainly point out to DO NOT go across the street to Smile travel to buy yourself any tour. They give high prices (1500 for trip, which most of other participants had for 1000) as well as bad description of the trips (even though I asked, the reality was fairly different). !!!

My favorite place in Thailand! Very clean and comfortable rooms. Very good price. This guesthouse is the best!

Very friendly guesthouse. We had a large room with bathroom towards the street. Very fair prices. We liked it.

Krabi Town - Smile Guest House - a great place - 300 to 450 THB when I was there in november. Very friendly helpful owners!
